What Participants are Saying
When I read about the SIT STAR contest, I'd just got a bachelor's degree at MIPT. So I realized that it was my chance to continue with a master's in Europe. I hadn't participated in contests since the 2nd year but decided to try. There were about 12 tasks with increasing difficulty. The first ones were quite easy, but then I had to think more and more and finally didn't solve the last two. I got about 70th place, but fortunately, not everybody above me wanted to join the master's degree and I got in!
Michael Martinson, SIT studentAfter a few years in the industry, my competitive programming skills were a bit rusty. However, I managed to solve some interesting problems in the contest, and I enjoyed it a fair bit. You won't feel the time passing as it is immensely interesting. SIT Star contest shares the same style with ICPC and regular Codeforces rounds.
Jafar BadourI have been doing Olympiad programming for a long time and I follow various contests. When I saw the SIT STAR Contest, I was pleasantly surprised and decided to try to participate. The tasks at the contest were diverse and interesting, and I liked the challenge. This context helped me to get a full scholarship in the master's program. This master's degree provides knowledge in programming and in management, which corresponds to my future goals in my career.
